Sky Digital Requirements
To view Sky digital in Europe you will need the following:
1. A Sky Digibox; smaller than an average VCR. This digibox, along with a Sky digital viewing card, decodes the Sky Tv digital channels. As it's name suggests this is the ONLY type of decoder that will do this.
2. A Sky digital Subscription ; essentially this is a twelve month contract with Sky. As such you will be supplied with a Sky Tv viewing card to decode your chosen package of channels.
3. A satellite dish; the size of the dish required will depend on your location in Europe. Orientation of the dish is constant at 28deg. east of due south( Astra2). The elevation will differ from location to location
SKY BILLING
One of the most common questions asked by customers is 'why have I been billed twice by Sky?' . This occurs at the start of a Sky subscription . Sky take 1 months subscription and 1 month in advance. When you decide to cancel your contract you will have your last month without charge.
How do I reset my box or download new software?
Every now and then your Skybox needs to be reset. If the reset did not help, please repeat it and if the problem still persists, try a hard reset:
* switch off your Skybox
* pull the plug for power supply
* find the button BACKUP at the front panel of the Skybox, press it and hold it pressed
* with the button BACKUP still held pressed you put in the power plug
* hold BACKUP pressed until you see all lights at the front panel of the Skybox flash for about 2 sec
Sky viewing card orders only
We also supply Sky digital TV viewing cards for customers that already own a digibox. In this instance when you receive your order from us you will need to fill in a simple form to allow us to activate your new Sky digital TV viewing card in your digibox. The form can be found by clicking on the 'activations' page.
